TREOKAI is custom made and one of a kind jewellery carefully handmade by Copenhagen based designer and maker, Mai Johannessen. 

Every piece is made to last and be passed on through generations & sustainably crafted by Mai in her Copenhagen workshop in recycled gold and silver.

For custom pieces it is possible to have your old personal gold melted down or to repurpose gemstones & give them new life in a future heirloom with a story. 

Mai combines craftsmanship and an emphasis on materials into pieces that are not necessarily recognizable as jewellery, making them visually exciting both on the body and standing alone as sculptural objects.

Mai is a graduate from ‘The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design’ and has a background in various crafts, ranging all the way from goldsmithing to glass blowing.

The inspiration for TREOKAI jewellery comes from wanderlust and dreams of mystery, ancient cultures and crafts.
